I'd like to share with you something new. Today, I made a film review for the first time (even though it was for a homework :) ). As I have never experienced such a different thing before, it was a bit hard for me to get used to using a wiki and criticizing a movie.
Speaking of wikies, here is the explaination of wikies for the ones among you who do not know what a wiki is for.
You create a content by collobrating with other people. We used it to review a film.
Let me explain how the process went.
We first watched the movie, and with my peer Saltuk Buğra Güler (you can visit his blog from here) started to write about it. With the instructions given by our teacher, we included necessary information and details to the page. After completing the review, when it is needed, we edited it.
As I have said it was a bit hard. There are several reasons for me to find it difficult. One of them is that I haven't used a wiki before. However, I generally picked up how to use it. It also became easier when we help each other and threw ideas for the review back and forth. The only problem was not with wiki itself but reviewing a movie. Since this is a special genre, it has some principles we should take into consideration.
At the end of the homework, anyway, I learned a number of things about a film review and wiki use plus, I enjoyed doing this. Furthermore, it is obvious that wikies are very useful tools for people who want to create a collobrative writing tool.
